Dr. Wages is the daughter of Bobbie and Tom Wages. She has been a member of the Charles R. Wood Foundation since 1998 and continues to served as Secretary.
Dr. Wages graduated from Queensbury High school, got her BS at St. Lawrence University, her Masters at Liberty University, and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University and current works as the Lead Veterinarian at Care First Animal Hospital in Raleigh, NC.
Passionate about rescue work, Dr. Wages volunteers with the Wake County SPCA and Second Chance rescues. She also is highly active with Christian Veterinary Mission, leading trips to the Navajo in Arizona, Yup’ik in Alaska, and Cherokee in North Carolina throughout the year to provide veterinary care to those in need. Dr. Wages also serves as the current Board Chair for Christian Veterinary Mission.
Dr. Wages also has her own little Funny Farm with 73 chickens, 3 peacocks, 4 goats, 5 ducks, 7 rabbits, 12 dogs, 1 cat, 1 cockatoo, 2 pigs, and a handful of fish that keep her busy!
